Sanjeev Raj Bhatia, DDS

Dr. Bhatia has been trained at leading centers in the world, including the U.S., England and India. He completed his residency training and fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery from The Brooklyn Hospital Center and associated Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in California, where he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society for his scholastic and clinical achievements. Before coming to the U.S., he had completed his training and examinations in England to become a fellow in dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and achieved a master’s degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery from King Georges’ Medical University in India.

He brings an extensive knowledge base and experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery — especially in dental implants, bone preservation and augmentation, and orthognathic surgery. His areas of interest are reconstruction of edentulous arches based on advanced complex bone grafting and reconstructive procedures, 3D treatment planning, pre-prosthetic, periodontal plastic surgery, and use of laser technology. He and his team are of the few of the specialists who perform All-on-4® — a “teeth-in-a-day” implant-based full-mouth reconstruction in this area.

To keep abreast with latest advances and have exchanges of ideas with his peers, he maintains affiliation with various professional organizations. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is affiliated with Inova® Hospital in Lansdowne, Virginia.
