Christopher Drennen, DDS

Dr. Christopher Drennen is a Board Certified periodontist who has treated thousands of patients over his 10+ years of practice. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, from a Sicilian-Irish household, he grew up in Coral Springs and graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He has received a Leadership Award from the International College of Dentists in addition to many other recognitions attained while serving as class president throughout all four years of dental school at NSU-CDM.

After attaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and Florida license to practice, Dr. Drennen pursued a postgraduate residency in periodontology at NSU-CDM and was trained during his three-year residency in practicing comprehensive periodontal treatment, along with training in dental implant surgery. He has received advanced training in the Chao Pinhole® technique for scalpel- and suture-free gum grafting.

His clinical research investigated differences in clinical and histological characteristics between Nobel Biocare™, NobelActive® and NobelReplace® dental implants. Dr. Drennen is published in the April 2012 issue of Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry through his research with colleagues, which is entitled “A Modified Ridge Expansion Technique in the Maxilla.”

He has lectured at the Florida Association of Periodontists meeting, and he is a Board Certified diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a recognized specialty of the American Dental Association.

In his free time, Dr. Drennen enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar and piano. He is fluent in English and Spanish, but he can also speak conversational Romanian and Italian.
