
Dr. Fotini Chrisopoulos is a board eligible specialist and a prosthodontist with advanced dental skills and exceptional chairside manner through over eight years of advanced clinical practice and specialty training. She has completed advanced specialty training in cosmetic and implants dentistry, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, surgical implant placement, prosthetic treatment planning and execution of complex dental cases.
Her academic and professional dental career has been fulfilled with numerous awards and distinctions. She has been recognized as a top U.S. dentist in 2017, and she has been selected by her dental peers as one of the Top 10 Prosthodontists in Northern Virginia in 2017 and Top Prosthodontist in 2016 by the Northern Virginia Magazine. She earned the 2017 Best of Springfield Virginia Awards for Cosmetic Dentists.
As an expert in the implant dental field, she lectures internationally and has lectured at the main podium of the World Congress of the prestigious International Congress of Oral Implantologists in August 2017. ICOI is the world’s largest dental implant organization and the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.
Dr. Chrisopoulos graduated first from the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2007, where she received awards for academic excellence upon completion of her studies. She completed a three-year postgraduate specialty program at Columbia University in New York, where she obtained a Master of Science in prosthodontics and graduated with honors. She then became chief fellow in the Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr Chrisopoulos has presented her research projects at numerous national and international dental meetings, and she has been involved in teaching dental students as a clinical instructor since 2009. She is the recipient of a regional research award from the American College of Prosthodontics Northeast Section, as well as several scholarships and honorary awards. She is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics. With her genuine nature, she has helped manage many patients with dental anxiety and phobia, and she volunteers in programs that provide free dental treatment to people in need.
