Fotini Chrisopoulos, DDS
Dr. Fotini Chrisopoulos, through 8 years of advanced clinical practice and specialty training, has developed a strong foundation in cosmetic and implant dentistry, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, surgical and prosthetic treatment planning and execution of advanced dental cases.
Dr. Chrisopoulos graduated first from the School of Dentistry at the University of Thessaloniki, where she received awards from academic excellence upon completion of her studies. Dr Chrisopoulos` drive for continuous clinical and academic excellence lead her to complete her specialty training in Prosthodontics with honors from Columbia University, New York, from which she obtained a Masters in Science degree and Certificate in Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is a type of cosmetic dentistry that focuses on the restoration and replacing of teeth.
She then became Chief fellow in the Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellowship at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. Dr. Chrisopoulos is the recipient of a regional research award from the American College of Prosthodontics North East Section, as well as several scholarships and honorary awards. She has presented her research projects at numerous national and international dental meetings and has been involved in teaching dental students as Clinical Instructor since 2009.
Dr. Chrisopoulos is an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontics. Dr. Chrisopoulos with her genuine nature has helped managed many patients with dental anxiety and phobia, and volunteers in programs that provide free dental treatment in the people in need.
